Remember when I said I was going to be a better blogger?
I accidentally fibbed.
I had the very best intentions, I truly did.

But somehow my job, chores, commute and just handling the business of everyday life gets in my way.
But then there's the time wasted stalking other blogs, watching X Factor and Dancing with the Stars, cutting and gluing and glittering stuff, yakkin' on the phone, going to the park with Molly, finally adding workouts back to my li…

Treat Bags

I must admit I'm not that big a fan of Halloween-and I don't even
know why!
Maybe memories of stuffing myself with candy 'til I was sick
as a kid?
Or scrambling around in a craze trying to come up with
costumes for my boys when they were little?
I dunno...

But I did make a few little treat bags to fill with candy and give to some co-workers:

Isn't this little ghost cute with his own plastic pumpkin treat thing-y?

I am too tired and heavy hearted to even type tonight,

but I wanted to share with you about my sweet friend Kevyn....

He was hit by a drunk driver while innocently driving in his truck...his truck burst into flames upon impact and although two strangers nearby, pulled him out, he was burned over 65% of his body.
After 5 weeks in the hospital and several surgeries, the antibiotics stopped working.

His blood stream became septic, his organs started to fail and we lost him.…

Love this Guy!!

Do you follow America's Got Talent?
This year the competition was really tough--excellent, unique dance teams and gifted vocalists.
I was really rooting for Landau Eugene Murphy, Jr--a humble man who washed cars to provide for his wife and children.

By voting him the winner I think America got it so right!
We still believe in dreams, in the "under dog", in a family man being rewarded for his faithfulness.

SO happy he won!!

Does anyone else have a chair in a tiny kitchen? My son sees no plausible explanation for this, but I like it nonetheless.
Sorry honey.

I like setting things on it that need to go with me for the day or sit on it while I wait for my final few minutes of whatever is baking or boiling. But mostly, because it's cute.

:-)

How 'bout you? Do you have a chair in your kitchen?

I believe we all agree that there are no words and not enough tears to express the sorrow we all felt on 9/11/2001 and today.

May all of those who lost loved ones on that horrific day, find some comfort in knowing they are not alone...your sorrow and grief is shared.
We will never, ever forget.

..the ribbons I won at the horse show?
Just kiddin....I WISH I had a horse and a show to ride in, but sadly, no such luck.

But I DO have these fun and lovely vintage ribbons I found at Country Roads in Orange, CA for $6 each.

I'm still busy organizing and purging stuff...it is endless!
How one person, one dog and a kid can make such a mess is odd to me! Ha!

I guess only having 690 square feet means you have to have a plac…

Hope You are Safe...

To my friends in the East, who may be in the path of Hurricane Irene,
I hope you are safely tucked in where you are protected from the storm.

Seems trite to show you my silly red wall when you may be in fear of losing your home,,,but here is a little change I made, that for no good reason, makes me happy!

I used to have 3 plates hanging there for it seemed fun to try this approach instead.
