I'm so delighted to have Laura Williams as a Guest Designer this month!
Please forgive the loonng delay--it's all my fault!
Laura has 2 little ones- including her new, tiny, shiny, BABY boy- and her hubby to care for, yet SHE found time to share her darling creations with us.
I met Laura through the Card Positioning Systems blog where Laura is one of their extremely talented designers.
I was delighted to sponsor their team twice in 2009 and loved what Laura created!

Here's more about Laura in her own words:
1) Tell us a little about you--where did you grow up, about your family, how'd you end up where you live now, do you have a career?
I have lived in Florida most of my life. I attended Flagler College, in St. Augustine Florida, where I majored in Art Education, and met my husband. After we got married I taught elementary school for a few years, before our first son was born. Since then, I have been LOVING staying at home with our now 4 year old, and waiting on pins and needles for our second son to arrive. (By the time you read this, he will probably be here, screaming in my ear!)
2) When and how did you get into paper crafting?
I have loved doing crafty projects, and artwork since I was a little girl. My mom became a Close To My Heart consultant when I was in middle school, and we started stamping like crazy! My major in college led me down some other artistic paths, like painting and photography, but I have always come back to paper and glue! 3) What inspires you or gets your 'juices" flowing?
COLOR always inspires me. Whether it's a color combination I see on a painting, a pillow, or someone else's art, I am always inspired by neat colors and the way artists combine them. I also love clean, bold lines, and graphic patterns, so I find lots of inspiration in fabrics, catalogs, and contemporary art.4) What is the "down side", if any, of our hobby in your opinion? What is the best part?
Sometimes I don't want to do anything other than sit down at my desk and CREATE - which can get in the way of cooking dinner, folding laundry, and doing whatever I "SHOULD" be doing! The best part - seeing something I create when it turns out just the way I want it to - and LOVING it.5) If you could go anywhere/do anything and then capture the memories, where would you go and how would you show off your memories?
I was fortunate to spend a week in Rome, when I was in college, and I would LOVE to go back. I took about a kagillion pictures while I was there - but I want to go back, and take MORE pictures. A wall full of framed black and white prints hanging on my wall would be an amazing reminder of the beautiful sights I saw!
