LOOK what Debra Made!

I'm so pleased to be able to show off the creations of Debra Famularo, our first August Guest Designer!
This lady is busting at the seams with creativity!
Her unique color combos, fantastic layering skills and attention to every detail make her work outstanding!
You know how someone is just a 'natural' at something--well that's Debra and paper arts!
And look at her! She oozes unique, daring and gorgeous!

Please visit her inspiring blog at "Sparkling Scrapbooks"

Here's more about Deb in her own words:

 1) Tell us a little about you--where did you grow up, about your family, how'd you end up where you live now, do you have a career?

I'm a San Franciscan who married a great guy from Boston -- we met in Hawaii of all places when we were young and crazy!  Fisrt I moved out to Boston, then to DFW where John currently works as an air traffic controller.  I'm fortunate to be able to stay home with my two children, though I have a BS in Nursing. I just recently signed a contract with a large manufacturer that I can't disclose about publicly yet! But It's Huge!

2) When and how did you get into papercrafting?

Eleven years ago my neighbor showed me her scrapbooks, and I've been addicted to this hobby ever since. I wanted "more" sparkle for my books, (we only had Creative Memories at that time) so I grabbed a glue gun and started adding buttons and rhinestones to my pages, eventually leading to my own small business of hand crafted punch art called 'Button Kisses.' I  then went on to design premade layouts and sold them on ebay until the work became too overwhelming for one person!

3) What inspires you or gets your 'juices" flowing?

My mind is always in that 'zone' as far as scrapbooking goes. My family is the main source of my inspiration.  But I have to say, the  ladies out there with their talent, I'm always inspired by that. The world of blogging inspires me constantly! It's amazing! And Kelly, your kits get my juices flowing, okay! But you already know that!

4) What is the "down side", if any, of our hobby in your opinion? What is the best part?
The only down side to this hobby is finding enough time (and money) to dedicate to it! The best part, meeting so many wonderful ladies who have the same passion. And having design experiences such as this, I can't tell you how humbled and appreciative I am.

5) If you could go anywhere/do anything and then capture the memories, where would you go and how would you show off your memories?

I have never traveled overseas, so I would love to go to Armenia and scrapbook about where my ancestors came from. Then, not only could I learn about my native country, but I could pass on the culture to my children in a creative way.
Though I must say,  a close second would be getting on The Young and the Restless set and scrapping that experience in a script sort of way! Anyone reading this have any connections????   ;)

Thank you THANK YOU, DEB!
