I'm so happy to introduce Amy Duff as one of our June Guest Designers!
Amy and I have been "online" friends for about a year after we met on the Making Memories for You message board.
Amy has a great eye for color and design plus she's the the best at using every little scrap and bit in a kit to make her creations!

Here's more from Amy:
1)
Tell us a little about you--where did you grow up, about your family,
how'd you end up where you live now, do you have a career?
Who
I am...my birth name is Amy but I go by Mom most of the time now.
:-) Not that I mind. Being a Mom is my first priority. I grew up
in Manassas, VA and promised myself I was leaving when I packed my bags
for college. After graduating from George Mason University with a BA
in Personal Communications, I headed to Las Vegas to celebrate and
contemplated staying, but something told me I needed to return to VA.
The instinct was dead on because I soon discovered I was pregnant and
could not have been happier. By far the happiest day of my life and
continues to be a growing experience literally. ;-) She was
diagnosed with Asperger's when she was five and the battle began to
find ways to live happily and healthy with Autism. I am engaged to a
wonderful man named Simon who has a son from a previous marriage. We
hope to combine our families very soon. Currently, my daughter and I
reside in Bristow, VA. After 8 years of teaching, I left to pursue my
love for paper crafts and be available for my daughter at all times.
2) When and how did you get into papercrafting?
I
began paper crafting at an early age. I made cards for holidays with
candy and sprinkles. I used tree branches to make a frame for
Father's day with a hand drawn picture. My eyes became wide as I
discovered all the wonderful things I could do with glue and paper.
This love for paper has never waned.
3) What inspires you or gets your 'juices" flowing?
A beautiful pattern paper
4) What is the "down side", if any, of our hobby in your opinion? What is the best part?
The
down side of this hobby is the under appreiciation for the craft. It's
a labor of love and not often valued. It certainly is not a cash cow
but it was never about that for me.
5) If you could go
anywhere/do anything and then capture the memories, where would you go
and how would you show off your memories?
My
ultimate dream is to take 2 months to travel through Europe and stop
anywhere, at anytime to see whatever I want to. No schedule. I want
to see the small villages, back alleys, beautiful farms, etc.
Here's a quick pic of the kit I sent to Amy:
And look at the pretty cards she made!

Please follow Amy on her blog Papertrails to see more of her work!
Thank you and big hugs to Amy for taking time away from her already packed schedule to create for us this month!
