Melissa Phillips graciously agreed to use a Keep In Touch "Just Cards" Kit as our
July Guest Designer!

I have admired her work from "afar" for a long time in various publications such as Cards and Scrapbook Trends magazines so you can imagine my excitement to have her work her magic with our
"Send Some Saffron" kit!!
Please visit Melissa's blog at lilybeanpaperie.typepad.com to see more of her daily musings and gorgeous works!
She has such spunk and how she finds the time to make one beautiful thing after another amazes me!
Here is a little bit more about Melissa in her own words:
Hi! My name is Melissa Phillips. My husband and I live in Southern Nevada with our 4 year old little girl. My husband and I met on a blind date and have been inseparable ever since. We have been married for 8 ½ years. I love spending time with my family hunting, fishing, horseback riding, traveling and laughing.
I have always had a love for creating things for other people, and I enjoy the process of working with my hands to turn ordinary paper into something heartfelt. This has become even more important to me over the last year and I have purposefully made time for paper crafting in my life. My loves are card making and altering anything that sparks my interest. I love every minute of it and I love to share my creations with those I love. You can see my work in publications such as PaperArt, PaperCrafts, Cards Magazine, Paper Trends, and Scrapbook Trends. I have been on the design teams for Pink Martini Designs and CreativeExpress and currently design for Melissa Frances, Websters Pages, LimeTart, Scrappy Gourmet, Emma's Paperie and have done freelance work for Dream Street Papers

I feel so fortunate to have found a hobby that gives me so much fulfillment and to have such a sweet and supportive husband who makes it possible for me to further explore this love of mine. I try and squeeze in minute everyday to play and create. It’s a wonderful way to relax and express my self. I look forward to sharing my ideas and learning from each of you.
I just love her attention to detail and her layering. A little touch here, a little bling there -her talent & style are just undeniable!
Thank you Melissa for being our July Guest Designer!!

There are many software progarms created just for this purpose! :) There are specific progarms for Mac or PC, but one of the best multi platform software I’ve used is Acdsee. However, if purchasing a separate software is not for you, You can use the photo organizer that comes free with Photoshop Elements 7.0. This organizer allows you to create keyword tags for your digital collection. It can be a daunting project at first if you’ve collected a substantial digital stash. But just move slowly. Start with your favorites, the items that you seem to pull from first. Add tags for designer, kit name, color, theme and item. Then when you need to search for ‘staple’, or ‘Christmas’, the photo organizer will display those items that you’ve tagged with your keyword. Also, if you are bouncing from computer to computer and your systems are not networked. You might want to create a Dropbox account. Dropbox is a WONDERFUL service that will let you save and pull files from any computer at any time. So, if you’ve left those files for instance on your computer at work (shame on you!) Dropbox will allow you to access them.Hope this helps! Keep scrapping!
